Everything we own is part of us. It is like we are joined by a thin thread of energy to all our possessions. Having too many items that do not support us can affect us in a negative way. We can prevent this by having regular clutter clearing sessions.
So what is clutter?
Clutter accumulates when we are not looking. It is
• Anything unused or unloved items
• Excess Paper, in the way of junk mail, outdated bank statements, old forms
• Things that are untidy or disorganised
• Unfinished projects
• Too many things in a small space
• It can stop us from moving forward. Holding onto items from times long gone keeps us stuck in that time and we cannot be fully in the present.
• It can make us feel unfocused. Having a cluttered desk can distracts us from the tasks we need to be focusing on to be successful.
• It can be depressing and make you feel ashamed. A cluttered home can make you feel you need to apologies to people when they come over for the state of it.
• And it can cause disharmony in our relationships. Your clutter can affect the mental and physical space of your partner and all who live in your house.

You can tell if something is clutter by the way it makes you feel. Think of an item you own that you absolutely love. Does it make you feel happy, joyful, energetic. Now think of an item you own that you do not like. Does it make you feel tired, stuck, drained? Anything that makes you feel this way are items to get rid of. They are clutter.
Clutter affects us mentally, emotionally and physically. On a mental and emotional level clutter is toxic.
